In 1882, Wilhelm Schimmel learned the craft of piano manufacture at the piano factory “Vogel & Sohn” in Leipzig. Only three years later, he founded his own piano manufacturing company – with great success. Today, Hannes Schimmel-Vogel preserves the family business in the fourth generation. He places emphasis on company expansion and has invested in an additional production site in Kalisz, Poland.
